NextGear Capital has made its name known in the technology sector this past year. Not only were we awarded the the IT Services for Business Award by TechPoint, but we brought our software engineering team in-house and have been hard at work on many amazing technological solutions for our customers, including integrating Black Book and Kelley Blue Book values.

Through all of this, there has been one man leading the charge. Get to know Chief Technology Officer – and recently named IBJ CTO of the Year – Bryan Everly.

Bryan Everly 1

What do you enjoy most about NextGear Capital? The culture. It is surprising how many companies don’t truly work hard to make their employees successful and happy in their careers. Fortunately, this is not the case at NextGear Capital. We work hard, but we also are all part of a team that wants to succeed and do so in a sustainable way. As a result, this is hands down one (if not #1) of the best places I have ever worked in my entire professional career.

Random Fact: While I was finishing my degree (one class per semester while working full-time), I was also an overnight radio personality on WPFR radio in Terre Haute, IN. When you are on the midnight to 6 am shift, you get the feeling you are sending out all of this music to an audience of zero!

Favorite car tunes: Gin & Juice, Crazy Train, Man in Black, and Dueling Banjos by the Dillards

When Bryan says his wife of 25 years, he forgot to mention they are high school sweethearts. Here they are right before her senior prom, back in 1989!
