Shane O’Dell | President
Shane O’Dell is president of Financial Solutions for Cox Automotive. He oversees NextGear Capital, one of the industry’s leading financial companies, and focuses on delivering lending solutions to more than 23,000 auto dealers across North America, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
A proven leader in this business sector, O’Dell was one of the founding members of Dealer Services Corporation in 2005 and became chief operating officer in 2010. In 2013, DSC merged with Manheim Financial Services to become NextGear Capital.
Recently O’Dell served as senior vice president of vehicle solutions for Manheim, another Cox Automotive brand. He was responsible for vehicle transportation, reconditioning, imaging, purchase protection and inspections, as well as Ready Logistics, Cox Automotive’s transportation business. In addition, O’Dell led a multi-year plan to strengthen and grow wholesale and retail service revenue through commercial and dealer partners.
O’Dell began his career with Automotive Finance Corporation in 1995, where he served as branch manager and was later promoted to regional manager overseeing 14 locations. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from The Ohio State University.
John Wick | SVP of Lending
John Wick serves as the SVP of Lending and for NextGear Capital.
In the role of Lending, he leads the company’s credit, risk and recovery operations that covers all facets from customer induction to dissolution.
John is one of the founding members of Dealer Services Corporation, joining the company in 2005 as General Counsel. Prior to joining the company, he was a partner in the Indianapolis law firm Lewis, Wick & Koski, where his primary areas of practice included litigation, debtor and creditor relations and business law.
John is a graduate of Indiana University/Purdue University at Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. He also holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis.
Randy Dohse | SVP of Operations
Randy Dohse serves as SVP of Operations for NextGear Capital.
Lisa Mackie | VP of Sales
As NextGear Capital’s VP of Sales, Lisa is responsible for strategic leadership, vision, and execution of NextGear Capital sales efforts.
With more than 20 years of auto finance and commercial sales leadership experience, she most recently served as Director, Commercial Dealer Services at Capital One where she was responsible for driving floor plan sales growth across multiple states. Past roles held include, Function Head Director of Commercial Acquisitions for Hyundai Capital and Vice President/Division Manager for Chase Dealer Commercial Services. A graduate of University of North Carolina at Fayetteville, Lisa began her career in the Ford Motor Credit Manager Training Program before going on to serve in multiple leadership positions in sales, retail finance, and wholesale audit.
David Horan | VP of Finance
David Horan serves as VP of Finance for NextGear Capital. He is responsible for executing the company’s financial and strategic planning.
Horan worked as Corporate Controller for JD Byrider Systems, the largest franchiser of auto sales/finance dealerships in the U.S. He also served as Corporate Controller for Auction Broadcasting Company, the third-largest auto auction chain in the nation. In 2005, Horan joined Dealer Services Corporation as Corporate Controller and Assistant Treasurer, designing and managing the accounting and treasury functions for DSC.
Horan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and is an active member of the Indiana CPA Society, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants.
Betty Lonis | VP of People Services
As the Senior HR Leader for NextGear Capital, Betty Lonis serves as a strategic partner while leading the People Strategies team in the execution of progressive people and organizational programs. Most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Stonegate Mortgage and in several Human Resources leadership roles with Navient Corporation, Betty has more than 25 years of experience leading and executing strategic human resources plans across several industries.
She is a graduate from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in addition to earning her master’s degree in Business Administration from Indiana University. Betty is a member of HR People & Strategy, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and IndySHRM. She also serves on the SHRM Certification Commission and the Wellness Council of Indiana Board of Advisors.
