Scott Maybee | President
Scott Maybee is president of NextGear Capital, the industry’s leading comprehensive finance provider serving more than 22,000 independent dealer clients worldwide.
Scott brings 10 years of automotive finance experience to the position, providing strategic leadership and new opportunities for independent auto dealers to profitably operate and grow their businesses. As the industry evolves, Scott and his leadership team also are pursuing ways to optimize the digital experience to drive efficiencies in every aspect of the client relationship.
Previously, Scott was general manager of Manheim Northstar Minnesota where he was responsible for all facets of Manheim’s wholesale vehicle auction and services operation. There, he successfully established a culture of transparency and rigorous process management while positively impacting employee morale. In addition, through his leadership, Scott drove business and revenue growth, enhanced customer retention and improved operating margins.
Before joining Manheim in 2017, Scott spent 10 years with Nissan North America and Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation. Most recently, he served as vice president of sales operations for Nissan Canada Finance.
Scott holds a law degree from Chicago-Kent College, an MBA in Finance from DePaul University, and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
When not at work, Scott enjoys time with his wife and two daughters, plays recreational hockey, and is a passionate Boston Red Sox fan.
Eb Ikonne | AVP of Engineering
Eb Ikonne Serves as AVP of Engineering for NextGear Capital. He is responsible for leading and providing direction to multiple software, infrastructure, and production engineering teams enabling NextGear Capital.
Before partnering with NextGear Capital and Cox Automotive, Eb started ThreeThirtyOne Consulting. The firm helps leaders create high-performance organizations through leadership consulting. Previous to starting his own business Ikonne served as CTO and Technical advisor for MYidealDOCTOR, setting the technological direction as the organization developed the mobile health platform. Ikonne obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Masters of Science in Software Engineering from Andrew’s University
David Horan | VP of Finance
David Horan serves as VP of Finance for NextGear Capital. He is responsible for executing the company’s financial and strategic planning.
Horan worked as Corporate Controller for JD Byrider Systems, the largest franchiser of auto sales/finance dealerships in the U.S. He also served as Corporate Controller for Auction Broadcasting Company, the third-largest auto auction chain in the nation. In 2005, Horan joined Dealer Services Corporation as Corporate Controller and Assistant Treasurer, designing and managing the accounting and treasury functions for DSC.
Horan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and is an active member of the Indiana CPA Society, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants.
Lisa Mackie | VP of Portfolio Management
Lisa Mackie joined NextGear Capital’s executive leadership team in 2017 as vice president of sales. Her accomplishments included marrying technology and a streamlined sales process to drive faster fund processing for dealerships and increasing client engagement and education, resulting in a nearly 20% rise in customer retention. She assumed the role of vice president of portfolio management in 2020.
Lisa’s 25 years of experience in the automotive industry includes multiple leadership positions in sales, retail finance, and wholesale audit. Before joining NextGear Capital, Lisa served as director, commercial dealer services at Capital One where she was responsible for driving floor plan sales growth across multiple states. Her career also includes serving as function head director of dealer commercial acquisitions for Hyundai Capital and vice president/division manager for JP Morgan Chase & Co.’s Dealer Commercial Services.
A graduate of University of North Carolina at Fayetteville and the Ford Motor Credit Manager Training Program, Lisa was honored in 2019 as one of Auto Remarketing’s “Women in Remarketing.”
Thad Sykes | Associate VP of Sales
Sykes joins the executive leadership team as associate vice president of sales. Sykes has been at NextGear Capital since 2007, most recently serving as a division vice president. He brings more than 25 years of management and customer service experience from his previous roles at American Home Mortgages, Bank of America and Wells Fargo Financial.
John Wick | SVP of Lending
John Wick serves as the SVP of Lending and for NextGear Capital.
In the role of Lending, he leads the company’s credit, risk and recovery operations that covers all facets from customer induction to dissolution.
John is one of the founding members of Dealer Services Corporation, joining the company in 2005 as General Counsel. Prior to joining the company, he was a partner in the Indianapolis law firm Lewis, Wick & Koski, where his primary areas of practice included litigation, debtor and creditor relations and business law.
John is a graduate of Indiana University/Purdue University at Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. He also holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis.
Colletta Bryce | AVP HRBP
Colletta Bryce is the AVP, HRBPs for Cox Automotive (Auto) leading the team that partners with the Corporate Services, NextGear Capital and People Solutions. She joined Cox Auto in December 2016 as a Senior Director, serving as the business partner for the former People Strategies. Prior to Cox Auto, Colletta held Executive and Leader roles at CertusBank, Bank of America and Wachovia since 2002. She’s held other roles in non-profit and sales.
Colletta is a graduate of Pfeiffer University with a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.S. in Organizational Change and Leadership. She also attended Broadcasting School and is a certified Diversity Practitioner.
In her spare time, Colletta volunteers with BECA, Inc. and Dress for Success. She is the proud aunt of nine nieces and nephews and enjoys sports.
